2012
Abogar International Ministries is founded on March 1st. Exploration and investigation of the needs of children of Latin America begins, and the organization is legally formalized on November 5th.
2013
Connections are made with organizations serving children in Mexico and Guatemala. First partnerships are made with Paradise Bound Ministries and InnerCHANGE Xela! First Xposure Xperience trip travels to Guatemala.
2014
Abogar receives 501(c)3 nonprofit tax-exempt status. Abogar networks in the USA advocating for vulnerable children in Latin America. Guatemala is named as the first country to form a national association.
2015
Jesse Rivers moves to Guatemala to begin groundwork while serving with other ministries working with vulnerable children. Partnership with Special Kids School begins. First Abogar 1:27 Run held in Pennsylvania.
2016
Abogar begins Leadership Development Program in Guatemala to identify local leaders. Abogar joins 2 other ministries to bring a special Christmas Blessing to 100 children in a remote village.
2017
Abogar completes five years of faithful ministry. Abogar begins its first Vidas Nuevas Ministry in Villa Nueva, Guatemala.
2018
100+ children are served through the Vidas Nueva Ministry and Special Kids School. Abogar helps a newly widowed mom salvage her home and family in time of tragedy and loss.
2019
Investigation begins for a property that Abogar can rent or purchase for an office and for ministry. Vidas Nuevas Ministry and the Special Kids School partnership continue strong.
2020
Pandemic problems limit ministry outreach. Abogar continues support of 3 teachers from Special Kids School. Abogar comes alongside the school to distribute food/supplies to families during the year.
2021
Abogar purchases land that will be used to build offices and ministry space in Villa Nueva, Guatemala! AboGua team solidifies and prepares for legal formalization, God-willing, in 2022.
