Do you have a personal love language and relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? I hope that you do. If so, then most hopefully you will understand my deep appreciation of God’s diverse and innumerable ways of communicating Himself in a direct and personal way! I have often received words and communication from God, and I know many may question how… but the answer is so diverse; through the Bible, fellow believers, prayer, signs, and the list could go on and on. However, I want to share one of my favorite ways that God consistently chooses to speak to me… white butterflies.
Many who know me are aware that I have been blessed by God to have traveled quite extensively around the world, as well as all over my home country of the United States. Some may even know of the love language between God and I where He shows me white butterflies! This is not a new thing for me, and goes back even further than 15 years ago! Whether I am struggling, challenged, facing toughest moments, or in times of great peace… God consistently sends me little white butterflies to remind me of His faithful presence and give me peace, no matter where in the world I may be!
I arrived here in Ecuador late last night. Today was spent helping my friend do lots of hard manual labor around his home. All throughout the day I kept seeing little white butterflies and showed him them as well. We took a trip to the dump with a heavy load of junk, and on the way (and I am NOT exaggerating) I saw more than 20 beautiful little white butterflies! I have so much peace for where I am at and what I am doing in life! I keep asking God to reaffirm what I am doing and how He wants to use me, and today He shouted out reaffirmations AGAIN! I am so excited!
Over the next two weeks I will be exploring the situation here in Ecuador, evaluating ministries to orphaned children, street children, and youth at risk here, and seeking God’s clear guidance and direction for what He wants from Abogar International Ministries (in relationship to Ecuador). Please offer up a prayer for me that God will indeed clearly guide and provide for whatever He wants from me, for me, and for AbogarIM! With a multitude of white butterflies flying all around me, I am convinced that God has something big here!
On a last note… I challenge you to figure out what your ‘white butterfly’ love language with God is! He loves you and cares for you more than you could ever know!
