5 years ago today I, Jesse Rivers, started out on a journey that has carried me to several countries, through many states in the US, has caused me heart-wrenching pain, brought about the most fulfilling joy, required great sacrifice and surrender, caused my heart to be rendered for many a beautiful and precious child, and has moved me much closer to my loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! It was 5 years ago today that I officially started Abogar International Ministries, at the call and command of God.
The thousands of pictures that I could share, stories I could tell, children’s lives that have been impacted, touched, and changed for the glory of God are staggering and yet so fulfilling. The amount of people who have come alongside this ministry, alongside me, in these five years has been amazing. The funding and prayer support that have been generated, not just in the US but also in Latin America, has been humbling and of such blessing.
The greatest thing about these five years though, has been the relentless, overwhelming, unconditional, constant faithfulness of God. There is an old hymn, Great Is Thy Faithfulness, and it is resounding loudly in my head and in my heart today!
